Kaliningrad is located far from the main part of Russia, it seems to be wormed its way among other countries. And thanks to the old German houses that are still preserved here, you seem to find yourself in one of the European cities.

In Kaliningrad you will find many amazing and interesting sights.

1. Curonian Spit

The Curonian Spit is a piece of land that separates the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon; sand is scattered on one side, and tall trees sprout on the other.

One of the unusual places of the Curonian Spit is the national park «Dancing Forest», the trees are all intricately curved here, and it seems that they are dancing some kind of magical dance.

2. Kant Island and Fish Village

In the Cathedral on the island of Kant, you can listen to a concert of organ music. Opposite is the Fish Village with cafes, souvenirs and the Mayak observation deck.

3. Museum of the World Ocean

The Museum of the World Ocean has collected many unique exhibits: the ship «Vityaz», a seaplane, a submarine and many others. You can get inside some objects and find out what hardships the sailors had to endure during the voyage.

In the main building of the museum, there is a skeleton of a huge sperm whale and aquariums with marine fish.

Definitely, Kaliningrad is worth adding to your travel list. Its warm atmosphere, bewitching architecture and beautiful nature will not leave you indifferent, and you may want to come back here again.
